Common can announce that we’ll be hosting a session at the 2025 Groundswell festival, the UK’s pre-eminent food, framing and nature hoe-down: How to Build a Movement of Community Nature Recovery
The event will take place at 4.00pm on Wednesday 2 July, and will be a chance to hear from some of the brightest and best in the field: HELEN AVERY from the Green Finance Institute, community farming pioneer CHARLOTTE HOLLINS from Fordhall Farm, Shared Assets founder MARK WALTON, and nature investor and farming rewilder BEN GOLDSMITH.
Nature recovery projects are now more investable with the integrity of local participation. A movement of community land initiatives is gathering pace around the world, of which those in the British Isles are pioneers. Can farming and communities together turn the tide on nature decline?
With blended finance, ownership and management, its now possible to move landscapes into active local management for food production and wildlife restoration, lifting health and resilience, livelihoods and economy. So how, with commensurate scale and pace, do we get this done?
Hope you can join us!
